The concave center keeps the string away from the response pads during play, minimizing sleep loss to the absolute limit.

With a shallower curve than standard curved bearings, this design reduces sleep loss while also improving the smoothness of the yo-yo's movement along the string. The string reaching closer to the response system also makes binds catch more reliably from the base.
