This step-round model is a counterpoint to the Lava.
Released alongside the Lava, the Musket is intended to be a step-round alternative from yoyofficer. Originally designed to be a yo-yo "like Hatchet, but with the spin of a full sized yo-yo," but they approached the design from a different perspective from yoyofficer's other offerings. Instead of an H-profile, the Musket is a step-round shape, and even got sized down by 1mm. The result is a derivation from the Hatchet that establishes itself as a very different beast.
A first for yoyofficer is the addition of grooves in the inner body, giving both a nice visual impact to the design and a real treat for grinding tricks. The Musket isn't just some full sized yo-yo, it boasts the looks and performance that would satisfy even the most demanding players.
